Drontal Worming Suspension for Puppies is a convenient liquid worming treatment that treats and controls roundworm, whipworm and hookworm.
Safe for treatment of puppies from 2 weeks of age. Does not control heartworm.
Dogs are constantly exposed to intestinal worms, even before they are born. Some species of worms can transfer to puppies through the placenta or from their mother’s milk, while adult dogs are exposed to worm larvae or eggs through the soil in parks and backyards.
Puppies under 6 months of age need to be wormed more frequently than adults because their rapid growth quickly makes the (previous) dose ineffective.
Un-wormed puppies are at risk of developing gastrointestinal problems like diarrhoea and vomiting, poor growth, anaemia and even death. Therefore, to avoid this they should be wormed every 2 weeks from 2 to 12 weeks of age, then monthly until they are at least 6 months old.
Adult dogs require treatment for worms every 3 months.
Each mL contains Febantel 15mg, Pyrantel Embonate 14.4mg (equivalent to 5mg Pyrantel base)
